The Future of SEO

I came across an advertisement today for Full Sail and one of their new program offerings, Internet Marketing. I am pleased to see that schools are taking the initiative to try and teach a concept that was once thought to be tricks and secrets. In reality, SEO is a mix of complex programming with many dynamic variables on the crawler side, and organizing material so that the crawlers can find and index the data on the developers side. So what is the future of search engines?

I believe that the market will continue to swing towards more complex dynamic programming. Only the variables are going to lie in the users and searchers preferences. The inbound linking correlated with page rank structure seems to have the similar flaws in programming that was seen with META tags. META tags will not lose there popularity however. More dynamic META data is the answer! I should be able to tell the search engines my visitor demographics, what pages are visited most often and more information that is constantly changing.

Since the start of web 2.0 there have been huge advances and the world of programming languages is expanding. These new programs available on Internet Marketing should focus more on these concepts.
